I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Nanoengineering from TOBB University in Ankara, Turkey, and my Master’s degree in the same field from Sabancı University in Istanbul, Turkey. During my Master’s research, I worked on polydiacetylene-based supramolecular structures, focusing on their optical and electronic responses for sensing applications. I later continued my research at EPFL for one year, where I gained experience in organic synthesis and carbon-based nanomaterials.
Since July 2026, I have been working as a researcher at the Professorship of Particle and Fiber Technology for Bio-based Materials, where I contribute to establishing analytical methods for the chemical characterization of cellulose and cellulose-based materials.
